Medication Management

After evaluation, treatment plans to include medication initiation will be developed and continually assessed and monitored. Monitoring of medications is to ensure understanding of regimen, efficacy, interactions and titration is important in managing mental health conditions. We also offer Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), medication for treating dependency on substances. These medications help people stop using the substance of choice, while also reducing cravings and minimizing withdrawal symptoms. Medication-Assisted Treatment has been found to be effective at preventing relapse and overdose.

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program Services

This program is designed for those diagnosed with psychiatric disorders which include but not limited to Depression, Anxiety and others. PRP encompasses daily living skills, medication monitoring, performing tasks, time management, social skills etc. The goal is to assist patients/clients to develop emotional, social and intellectual skills to achieve their goals in the community. These include independent living skills, financial management, employment prep, coping strategies. Services offered onsite and offsite.

We offer monthly group sessions to help you address concerns, learn about coping skills, increase self-awareness & self-acceptance, identify with others who share similar concerns and improve quality of life. The sessions can provide emotional support, motivation & hope, develop & improve social skills. Group sessions are held on the last Wednesday of every month from 5:30pm - 6:30pm.

Services include individual therapy, counseling, etc. Licensed providers will offer therapy sessions if needed. If you have a therapist already, it does not interfere with the care received here.

Altruistic Healthcare Services offers an MVA Approved Drivers Improvement Program for drivers that are assigned to take the program. IMPORTANT: You are required to bring the following items with you to the test area: - Govt. Issued Photo ID - Your MVA referral/assignment letter. The Alcohol and Drug Education Program is required for Maryland Driver's license applicants that possess a driver's license from another country. The program makes drivers aware of the consequences of drinking and driving, and the effects of driving after consuming prescribed and non-prescribed drugs.
